It’s all aces on BEHIND THE LENS this week with actor CHRIS KLEIN and legendary cinematographer GILES NUTTGENS!

Many may know CHRIS KLEIN from the blockbuster “American Pie” franchise or cult classic “Election”, but there’s another side to Chris that has been steadily emerging over the course of his career, that of leading man with a side of action and snark. And lead is just what Chris does as WWI flying ace Jackson Cove in Damien Ley’s GAME OF ACES! A fun film reminiscent of Saturday afternoon serials, Chris soars with enthusiasm and passion as he talks about not only his own career trajectory, but a real “behind the scenes” look at GAME OF ACES from an actor’s perspective, most notably the beauty of working on a film with practical set pieces (like a working Model-T stakebed truck) and practical effects, as well as the importance of the shooting location.  Some terrific insight that filmmakers and Chris’ fans will enjoy.

Speaking of locations, get ready for a real education thanks to veteran “ace” cinematographer GILES NUTTGENS.  On location in Spain, film critic debbie elias recently Skyped with Giles going behind the lens and below the line on the making of HELL OR HIGH WATER.  Take a listen to these first few excerpts of their exclusive interview and learn about the magic of the now six-film, 15-year collaboration between Nuttgens and HELL OR HIGH WATER director David MacKenzie, plus the importance of location as a character in the film, and the starting point of everything for Nuttgens (which might surprise many) – the script.

Plus, our BTL sound engineer is on hand with his weekly “Star Wars” countdown!
