btl - 7-18-2016

The guys got it on this week’s BEHIND THE LENS as we welcome MIKE DOPUD and DYLAN WALSH!

First up today is DYLAN WALSH.  You may know him best as Dr. Sean McNamara from the legendary “Nip/Tuck” but while Dylan has a long and storied career in both tv and film, you’ve never seen him in any role that even comes close to that of Senator Fallon in the hilarious and farsical C STREET, a more timely film we could never find during this election year and particularly the week of the RNC!  On location filming “Fright Fest” in Philadelphia, Dylan takes time out to speak with BTL not only about C STREET, and “Fright Fest”, but his approach to acting, the quality of television and film writing today, industry changes over the decades and, of course since he’s in Philly, cheesesteaks.  And yes, Dylan answers the age old question – Cheese Whiz or Provolone?

Then coming atcha live from Vancouver where he’s shooting another project is MIKE DOPUD.  Former pro football player in the Canadian League, former hockey player, stuntman, actor, Mike has done it all and continues to do it all, most notably with his latest film, VIRTUAL REVOLUTION, where every element of his career path comes into play as he tackles the role of Shadow Agent Nash in a virtual world set in 2047 Paris.  Listen as Mike takes about his career influences and the trajectory that led him to projects like “Cedar Cove”, SyFy’s “Dark Matter”, “Stargate”, “Rollerball” and now VIRTUAL REVOLUTION and the upcoming “Project Eden.”  And while Dylan Walsh may talk about cheesesteaks, Mike Dopud tells us about his most memorable “disaster” on a shoot.

Plus, hear what Robert Redford had to say about directing to film critic debbie elias during the recent press day for PETE’S DRAGON!
