Behind The Lens Radio Show – 06/20/2016

btl - 6-20-2016

BEHIND THE LENS kicks off summer with a show that sizzles thanks to special guests IAN BUCHANAN, SHERI SUSSMAN and BENSON LEE!

Returning to BEHIND THE LENS for her third or fourth time with us is writer/director/producer SHERI SUSSMAN.  Take a listen as Sheri gives you all the details for watching her deliciously dark comedy short film ONE NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD which is now available this week on multiple viewing platforms.  Joining her this time is a man many of you have been waiting to hear from – the one and only IAN BUCHANAN.  You loved, loved, loved him for more than 27 years as Duke Lavery in “General Hospital”, but now in ONE NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD, you get to see a more “decadent” side of Ian’s acting ability. (Trust me when I say he is divine in his role.)  Listen as Ian talks about not only about ONE NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD, but a new film called “The Temple” which he just finished shooting in Bhutan, his love and appreciation of his fans, and yes, “General Hospital“.  Could GH fans be seeing more of Duke Lavery in the future?  Find out here.  Sheri and Ian are with us at the 30-minute mark of the show.

But before we get to Sheri and Ian, we’ve got writer/director Benson Lee on hand talking about his new film, the frothy and fun, SEOUL SEARCHING. Think “Breakfast Club”, “Sixteen Candles” and a little bit of “Ferris Bueller” but with a “seoul searching” Korean spin.  Filmmakers will find Benson particularly of interest as we talk about the importance of a music supervisor in a film like SEOUL SEARCHING which is very reliant upon a soundtrack that embodies an era – in this case, the 1980’s.  (And this soundtrack is 80’s perfection!)   And hear all about how you can be part of the SEOUL SEARCHING Los Angeles premiere and 1980’s prom party this Friday, June 24th!
